Single payer healthcare has some people scared. Why? Because it's not "business as usual". It's a change. It's different. It works like this:
Businesses and individuals pay affordable income based premiums to a government oversight agency like Health & Human Services.
Then, that agency funds a plan from existing infrastructure provided by insurance companies, hospitals, doctors and other care providers.
Everyone is covered. The annual government expenditure is reduced. Waste is eradicated. More resources are spent on not just covering everyone, but improving the quality of healthcare in urban and rural areas.
